Academic Council functions

Consider the issues related to educational process organization at the Faculty within its competence
Consider Faculty’s training capability in the regard of particular direction or specialty
Review the results of examinations and state certification of graduates of different educational levels
Consider the issues of Admissions Office
Consider the issues of Admissions Office
Determine basic directions of scientific research of the Faculty
Discussion and approval of research topics and reports on their performance
Consider the issues of students’ scientific research
Processing and submission of proposals for improving the structure of the Faculty
Consideration of the submissions of scientific and methodological Editorial Board of the Faculty on development issues, relevant components of state educational standards , curriculum projects and programs
Hearing and discussion of the annual reports of associate deans, heads of departments and other staff of the Faculty on educational, scientific , research and organizational activities
Consider applications of teaching staff for vacancies
Submit proposals to the Academic Council of University for awarding scientific degrees to Faculty members
Consider applications and proposals for admission to postgraduate and doctoral programs
Discussion and approval of plans for training graduate students and doctoral theses topics, assignment of supervisors and consultants, monitor the annual certification of graduate students, doctoral candidates
Consider the submissions of the Faculty staff concerning their incentive, promotion and imposing penalties
Consider staff development plans of Faculty members
Consider other prospective and current issues of the Faculty and its departments
